UNA BELLA GIORNATA DI TREKKING   (SAN PELLEGRINO IN ALPE)

CON UN PIEDE IN TOSCANA E UNO IN EMILIA ROMAGNA😃

                              Domenica  era una bella giornata di sole  , ho deciso di andare a fare un trekking a San Pellegrino in Alpe proprio sul crinale tra TOSCANA ED EMILIA ROMAGNA .  E'  stato stupendo scoprire questi luoghi nelle mie vicinanze. 

     Chiamato il "GIRO DEL DIAVOLO"   poiche' la leggenda vuole il diavolo sia passato di qui.
L'eremo Pellegrino  fu tentato dal Diavolo al ritorno dalla Terra Santa. Egli reagì talmente tanto bruscamente che scagliò con uno schiaffo il demone contro le Alpi Apuane, facendolo girare tre volte su sé stesso.
Da quel momento ogni pellegrino per espiare i propri peccati doveva fare tre giri circondando i Sassi del Diavolo, lasciandovi poi un sasso raccolto in precedenza e depositato assieme a tutti gli altri per chiedere perdono per qualche errore commesso, esprimere un desiderio oppure semplicemente rendere omaggio. La grandezza della pietra è proporzionata alla gravità del peccato che si chiede venga perdonato: naturalmente, maggiore è la pena da espiare, più grosso dovrà essere il sasso.

.A BEAUTIFUL DAY OF TREKKING (SAN PELLEGRINO IN ALPE)

WITH ONE FOOT IN TUSCANY AND ONE IN EMILIA ROMAGNA😃

                              Sunday was a beautiful sunny day, I decided to go trekking in San Pellegrino in Alpe right on the ridge between TUSCANY AND EMILIA ROMAGNA. It was wonderful to discover these places near me.

     Called the "TOUR OF THE DEVIL" as legend  tells us that the devil passed through here.

The Pellegrino hermitage was tempted by the Devil on his return from the Holy Land. He reacted so abruptly that he hurled the demon against the Apuan Alps with a slap, making it spin around three times.

From that moment on, every pilgrim had to go three times around the Devil's Stones to atone for their sins, leaving a previously collected stone and depositing it with all the others to ask forgiveness for some mistake, make a wish or simply pay homage. The size of the stone is proportionate to the seriousness of the sin that is asked to be forgiven: naturally, the greater the penalty to be expiated, the bigger the stone must be.
