Molti dei miei ospiti sono stati alla Villa Reale di Marlia e hanno apprezzato molto il giardino. Molto  è stato rinnovato e riportate al suo antico splendore. Edifici sono ancora in ristrutturazione e parti del giardino . È comunque magnifico il giardino.

Diversi personaggi famosi l'hanno vissuta e mantenuta in passato. All'inizio il luogo era una fortezza del Duca di Toscana. La proprietà passò poi a nobili famiglie di banchieri e mercanti lucchesi, che trasformarono la fortezza in un grandioso edificio. Nel 1651 fu venduto e trasformato in un giardino di stile barocco, con un teatro verde e un giardino di limoni. Nel 1806 Elisa Bonaparte ,sorella di Napoleone e principessa di Lucca l' acquistò . . Per la ristrutturazione, da lei effettuata, il modello è stata la residenza privata di Napoleone e Giuseppina vicino a Parigi.

La principale modifica alla villa storica è il caratteristico paesaggio ondulato di fronte alla villa principale con bellissime camelie che adornano due grandi camminamenti, oltre a nuove statue e vasi in prezioso marmo bianco di Carrara.Successivamente Carlo Ludovico di Borbone lo adoperò come residenza estiva. Nel 1923, il conte e la contessa Pecci-Blunt acquistarono la tenuta e vi ricevettero grandi e numerosi notabili. Dopo un periodo di abbandono, gli attuali proprietari hanno acquistato la Villa nel 2015. Hanno raccolto la sfida di riportare la Villa al suo antico splendore e di aprirla al pubblico, in modo che tutti potessero godere dei tesori nascosti che la Villa Reale di Marlia offre.
Se ne hai l'opportunità, dovresti assolutamente visitare questo posto. È rilassante e bello allo stesso tempo. Anche se non tutto è stato ristrutturato, passeggiando nel giardino si vive il tempo del passato. Giocano a tennis e nuotano in piscina. Le barche navigano nello stagno e si può avvertire tutti i tipi di profumi di fiori e piante nel giardino. Davvero molto speciale.

Villa Reale di Marlia

Many of my guests have been to the Villa Reale in Marlia and have really enjoyed the garden. Much has been renovated and restored to its former glory. Buildings are still under renovation and parts of the garden. However, the garden is magnificent.

Several famous people have lived and maintained it in the past. In the very beginning, the place was a fortress of the Duke of Tuscany. The property then passed to noble families of bankers and merchants from Lucca, who transformed the fortress into a grand building. In 1651 it was sold and converted into a baroque-style garden, with a green theater and a lemon garden. In 1806 Elisa Bonaparte, Napoleon's sister and princess of Lucca bought it.

For the renovation she carried out, the model was the private residence of Napoleon and Giuseppina near Paris.The main change to the historic villa is the distinctive rolling landscape in front of the main villa with beautiful camellias adorning two large walkways, as well as new statues and pots in precious white Carrara marble.

After that, Carlo Ludovico of Bourbon took it into use as a summer residence. In 1923, Earl and Countess Pecci-Blunt bought the estate and received great and many notables there. After an abandoned time the current owners bought the Villa in 2015. They took on the challenge of bringing the Villa back to its former glory and opening it up to the public, so that everyone could enjoy the hidden treasures that Villa Reale di Marli offers.

If you have the opportunity you should definitely visit this place. It is calming and beautiful at the same time. Even though not everything has been refurnished, when you walk through the garden you experience the time of the past. . Boats sail in the pond and you can smell all kinds of scents of flowers and plants in the garden. Really very special.
