MONTECATINI TERME In a Tuscan holiday a day in Montecatini should not be missed. Montecatini is a garden city set in the suggestive Valdinievole, an amphitheater of green hills in the heart of Tuscany. The old historic center can be reached on foot from Montecatini Terme but I recommend you get to Montecatini Alto on board "GIGIO" AND "GIGIA" two historic red funicular trains from 1898.
